2nd Driver Pragati Kendra in the country, was jointly launched by IOCL and VECV at Siltara (IOCL outlet, COCO), Raipur (Chattisgarh) on 24.2.2018. It offers basic amenities, secured parking, dormitory and dhaba for relaxation to drivers. Relaxation will help driver to undertake fatigue free journey ahead. Fatigue is one of the major causes of road accidents

A short event was attended by drivers, local transporters, representatives from IOCL and VECV to roll out this joint initiative, later a training programme was participated by 25+ drivers. Mr Sanjay Mathur (General Manager- Retail Sales) IOCL appreciated Eicher efforts in spreading driver education and raising awareness level. IOCL is continuously motivating drivers with the best experience at retail outlets through good facilities which enable drivers to de-stress before embarking on next journey and training/sensitisation by Eicher, will make them more confident and better informed.

Mr Santosh Kumar ( Chief Divisional Manager & State Coordinator-Retail Sales, Chattisgarh) IOCL, shared that our country witness the highest incidents of accidents and road fatalities which is 10% of road fatalities across the world, the awareness at Driver Pragati Kendra will help drivers in safer transportation by enriching their knowledge level. This Driver Pragati Kendra is 1st setup in Chhastisagrh dedicated to driver welfare.
