Eicher At The Excon 2017, Showcasing An Array Of Trucks For Mining And Construction

Eicher, time and again, has established its presence as a pioneer across various applications in the mining and construction segments. The trucks manufactured by Eicher are well known for their fuel efficiency, backed up by ‘fuel coaching’, along with having Eicher Live telematics, which provide real time guidance to enable and support informed decisions while driving to save fuel and increase profitability.

As the government shifted focus on strengthening the infrastructure in India, the commercial vehicle industry partook in the multitude of opportunities presented, backing the growth journey. Eicher Truck’s world-class Pro range is fully geared up to keep pace and support the government’s infrastructure agenda, by coming up with higher productivity and higher tonnage products catering to all applications. Whether it is an LCV used for vegetable transport or a 49-tonner HD used for mining purposes, Eicher Trucks are well equipped to be a full range player with solutions across light and heavy applications. Not only this, but Eicher has also upped the ante on the service support solutions in the crucial and critical areas of mining and constructions.

On the occasion of the EXCON 2017, Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles, said, “The CV industry has picked up speed and we are sitting on the cusp of a transformation revolutionary reform like Smart Cities Mission and Make in India, pushing demand for heavy-duty trucks and tippers. Our Pro 8049 Tip trailers, Pro 6037 Haulage Tippers, Pro 6025 Tippers and Pro 8031XM Tippers are solutions for the requirements of construction & mining where high-performance trucks are demanded by customers.” During the EXCON, Eicher launched the 100 percent uptime program, which includes the introduction of an On-Road- Service App and an On-site Support that will allow the mining and construction customers to have better uptime for their trucks. The On-site Support has a container site model, along with on-site service vans, which would enable trucks to be in the best condition at all times, without visiting a workshop. Furthermore, Eicher has also created value for its customers through various after-sales solutions like Eicher Financial solutions, Eicher Secure Insurance, Eicher Sure used trucks, Eicher Live Telematics, Competence development for customer drivers & technicians, and Eicher Freedom and Eicher Promise offering comprehensive services for complete peace of mind of customers.

“We understand that for customers to become prosperous their trucks need to operate continuously. We too are constantly working in that direction. We want to offer total peace of mind to our customers and facilitate their growth. In tune with our ‘Nayi Soch’ philosophy to create a delightful and profitable experience for our customers, we have introduced ‘Think 100% Uptime’ offering on select products aimed to not only offer reduced downtimes, but also to maximise profitability,” said Vinod Aggarwal, MD and CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles.

Eicher Trucks & Buses also introduced a unique mobile app on the occasion – the EOS App, which is designed to help the customers log in emergency calls from their smartphone. This app would also track the response of the GPS enabled EOS vans.
